The XFUSION 2 is a unique high-speed native resolution HD broadcast camera system based on a 2/3″ CMOS sensor technology. With its patent pending image enhancements, the camera provides an outstanding performance for live broadcasts and feature film production, capable of capturing up to 350 fps and 1050 fps playout. The camera utilizes the same Full HD 2/3″ global shutter sensor as the XCAM and delivers 1080i/p with frame rates up to 60fps (4:2:2 at 10bit with RAW output tbc) on its live output and up to 1050 fps super slow motion simultaneously on a separate playout channel.

The camera system is operated by a set of controllers to balance colors or playout slow motion directly from the camera system. Therefore, no additional video server or EVS system is needed to integrate slow motion footage into your live broadcast. Due to the two channel output, the camera can be used as a live broadcast camera while recording and/or playing out slow motion at the same time. Whatever you capture – nothing is lost!

Furthermore, the XFUSION 2 is small and light weight, which provides a unique advantage for operating a high-speed camera system. B4 lens mount

Constructed using a B4 lens mount, all ENG lenses are easily incorporated on to the XFUSHION camera system. The focus and zoom are controlled by the camera operator, while the iris can be fully controlled by the operator in the OB Van. Therefore, the B4 lens mount can be easily integrated into your established workflow. Due to the vast availability of lenses, you can always use the right lens for the right job. Total flexibility.

V-Mount or Anton Bauer battery adapter

The XFUSION 2 comes with a V-Mount or an Anton Bauer battery adapter out of the box, eliminating the need for any external battery adapters. This is our plug-and-play solution to increase the efficiency of the XFUSION 2 camera system which can easily be used as a shoulder camera system – efficiency and flexibility!

Output signals

There is never a need to distribute the signal via external distributor boxes. This is made possible using 2x HDSDI live output BNC connectors and 2x HDSDI high speed playout BNC connectors with up to 1080p60. Easily plug in another HDSDI cable and attach a field monitor. The 3G output provides you with a highly compatible signal for your already established production environment. The camera system also receives the control signal via RS485 to communicate with the RCP and OCP up to 1km in distance. All cables have standard connectors such as BNC for video and 3pin XLR for RS485 communication.

OCPXFUSION 2 operator control panel – The OCP

The XFUSION 2 mobile truck controller OCP is easily and quickly integrated into your pre-existing set-up. All CROSSCAST system devices are connected via a RS485 bus system, so all control connections can extend up to 1km (or converted to fiber for an almost unlimited distance). This system is the best choice for live broadcast applications when the camera is used in a multi-camera environment with mobile trucks or playout centers. Shading and Iris control can be easily set up within a matter of seconds.

The XFUSION 2 high-speed controller controls the high-speed functionality of the camera system. The unit can record, playback, and set up speed-ramps easily and quickly, allowing the production team to simply create and control outstanding high-speed shots during live broadcast.

XCAM 1050 Fiber solution

The XFiber adaptor is a multi-camera fiber adaptor used for extending the camera up to large distances. The system uses a fiber cable to connect the CCU with the OCP/RCP in the production environment. It functions using full video output on 2 channels (live and high-speed playout), and a full serial connection for shading and high-speed operation. Redundant power supplies is also included. The fiber solution is built into a 19 inch housing, which is easily integrated into any production environment.
